Feature Lesson
Students started with a beetle lab (beetles ordered online) making observations and then designing creatures that eat the creatures that eat the beatles. A food chain.
Students then focused on a schoolwide project of choose to refuse single use plastics investigated plastic pollution as small questions where does plastic come from, what are uses of plastic? Where does plastic end up? . When the jigsaw pieces were put together the students discovered that plastics and microplastics were part of our food chain.
A typical person eats a credit card per week and a coat hanger every 2 months. YUK!
